In 2017, the following fundraisers will be held to support the work of the Barrie Music Festival Association.

  1. Our year-long collaboration with the Canadian Kidney Foundation.  Take your used clothing or small household items to The Kidney Foundation at 570 Bryne Drive in Barrie.  Tell them that you are supporting the Barrie Music Festival Association.  The BMFA receives $0.13/lb of materials received by the Foundation – it’s a great way to support two charities at once!
  2. TAG DAY – This year, our Tag Day will be held on May 27 at the Loblaws on Bayfield and the Zehr’s at Big Bay Point Drive from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm.  For all students who volunteer one hour of their time, they will receive either a free Barrie Music Festival class in the 2018 Festival or 1 volunteer hour for secondary school students.
  3. EPIC, FUN, and HISTORIC! Our Guinness World Record Attempt to break the record for the Largest Cup Percussion will be held at Kempenfest on Saturday, August 5 at 11:00 am.  ALL ARE WELCOME!  This event is a family event, open to kids and parents alike.  The current record (held by a school in Belgium) is 368 kids.  Registration is $10/person.  Or…..create a team, find some sponsors for your attempt and if you raise more than $25 per person on the team, we’ll refund you your $10 entry fee!  Register today as spots are limited!

Thanks to all of our supporters, volunteers, and helpers – you help to keep the music playing!
